Hogansville man to plead to disturbance aboard Pa. flight

PITTSBURGH (AP) – A Georgia man is scheduled to plead guilty to interfering with an AirTran crew on an Atlanta-to-Pittsburgh flight in October. Thirty-four-year-old Marc Malone, of Hogansville, Ga. was charged by Allegheny County police with public drunkenness after the flight landed at Pittsburgh International Airport on Oct. 10. The FBI charged him last month with flight crew interference alleging he began acting strangely and began repeating "I need to get off now" and "I want to get out" as he moved toward the front of the plane. The FBI says Malone pushed a flight crew member, swore and threatened the crew after they subdued him with plastic "flex" cuffs. Malone's public defender has a policy of not speaking to the media.
