Kenneth Carter, 53, pleaded guilty Thursday in Coweta Superior Court to two counts sale of cocaine and one count possession of marijuana with intent to distribute.

Judge Jack Kirby sentenced Carter to Senior Assistant District Attorney Ray Mayer's recommendation of 15 years to serve on the first count of sale of cocaine, 15 to serve concurrent on the second count, and 10 to serve concurrent for the marijuana charge -- all for a total of 15 years in prison.

Carter was arrested after selling $500 worth of cocaine to a confidential informant working with the Coweta County Sheriff's Office's Crime Suppression Unit. On a second occasion, Carter sold $1,200 worth of cocaine to the same informant. When police made the arrest, they found two pounds of marijuana in Carter's house, according to Mayer.
