The closing of the CSX railroad crossing on Rising Star Road will be extended until lunchtime today, say Coweta County officials.
CSX has notified the county that the work is now expected to be complete by noon Tuesday, Nov. 18.
The original request was just for Nov. 17 from 7 a.m. - 5 p.m. to resurface the track under the road, said Patricia Palmer, county public information officer.
Alternate routes can be taken as follows:
--At Dead Oak Road into Haralson to Hwy. 85
--Dead Oak Road back to Hwy. 16
--Dead Oak Road back to Hardy Road.
