I-85 lane closures set for Coweta

by Staff Reports

The Georgia Department of Transportation is closing lanes this week on Interstate 85 southbound in Coweta County through Thursday for maintenance activities.

Work is scheduled to take place 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. daily through Thursday, April 11, weather permitting, said DOT spokesperson Kimberly Larson.

The section involved is I-85 southbound between mile marker 56 (Collinsworth Road) and mile marker 55.

Georgia DOT maintenance crews have scheduled a double lane closure on I-85 southbound near Collinsworth Road.

Motorists are asked to use caution, reduce their speed and be alert to changing traffic conditions in work zones.
