Newnan police are on the lookout for a man suspected of assaulting a woman with his fists and two separate weapons Wednesday and then eluded officers after the incident.

Around 12:20 p.m., Officer Jonathan Wade with the Newnan Police Department responded to Wilcoxen Street to check on a family violence call. According to Wade, the victim was found screaming in the front yard of the victim’s home. Wade was able to speak to the victim and get a description of the suspect, Quintez Raquan Parrott, 17.

The victim told Wade that, around noon, Parrott came to her home and attempted to get inside through a side door. The victim told Parrott to leave, but he climbed into the home through the kitchen window and, once inside, found a baseball bat lying on the floor.

Parrott then allegedly struck the victim in the elbow and head with the baseball bat, and during the fight, a fan with a long pole was broken, so Parrott picked up the pole and struck the victim with it as well. The victim told Wade after Parrott hit her with his fists, the bat and the pole numerous times, he left the scene on his bicycle.

The victim was able to describe Parrott and said he was wearing a green shirt and riding an orange BMX-style bicycle. According to Wade, other officers in the area found Parrott running through the neighborhood and attempted to chase him on foot, but Parrott disappeared into the woods off Roberts Road.

Emergency medical units were dispatched to treat the victim, and she was cleared at the home, Wade said.
