The man suspected of stealing copper wire from the 13 Stories haunted house operation was recorded on surveillance cameras set up inside the building.

Coweta County authorities are on the lookout for a man suspected of stealing copper wire from a local haunted house.

Authorities were able to obtain images of the suspect from surveillance cameras set up inside the business, 13 Stories Haunted House on Highway 16 West, said Lt. Col. Jimmy Yarbrough with the sheriff’s office. On July 30 around 2 a.m., the suspect was recorded parking behind the business in a white Ford Expedition. He then went inside and began to steal insulated copper and electrical wire.

According to Yarbrough, the owner of the business was remodeling, but had installed two security cameras. The suspect saw one of the cameras and tore it down, but he failed to notice the other one.

Yarbrough described the suspect as a black male who is around five feet, nine or ten inches tall and weighs between 165 and 180 pounds. Anyone who can identify or has any information on the suspect may call Investigator Jon McIntyre with the sheriff’s office at 678-423-6710.
