Hanson

Coweta authorities were on the lookout Wednesday evening for the suspect believed to be responsible for shooting his neighbor near Senoia Tuesday afternoon.

The suspect, Michael Eure Hanson, 36, is considered armed and dangerous and is believed to have fled the scene with a .380 caliber handgun, according to investigators with the Coweta County Sheriff’s Office.

The victim is recovering from a single gunshot wound to his left thigh, said Lt. Col Jimmy Yarbrough with the sheriff’s office. The shooting, which occurred around 4:19 p.m. Tuesday on Joy Springs Drive in a neighborhood south of Senoia, is believed to have happened after an argument between neighbors over a lawn mower.

Yarbrough said this incident is not considered to be related to the recent shootings in Newnan.

According to the lookout posting from the sheriff’s office, the vehicle in which Hanson allegedly fled the scene has been located, but authorities are still looking for him. Hanson is described as five feet, nine inches tall, weighing around 207 pounds, and as having two tattoos – “Lil Mike” on his right arm, and a cross on his left.

Anyone with information on the whereabouts of Hanson should contact Investigator Chad McDonald with the Coweta County Sheriff’s Office at 770-253-1502.
