Spaghetti supper planned for Megan Winters

by Sarah Fay Campbell

A spaghetti supper fundraiser for Megan Winters, who was injured Dec. 30 when she fell into a well at her grandparent’s home in Whitesburg, will be held Friday at the Coweta Veterans Club, off U.S. Hwy. 29 just north of Newnan.

Winters, 7, is a student at Brooks Elementary School.

The spaghetti dinner will be held from 5 to 7 p.m. at the Coweta Veterans Club. The event is sponsored by the Newnan American Legion Riders.

Plates are $6. Tickets are available at the Veterans Club and can be purchased at the door.

All proceeds will go toward- medical bills and assistance to Megan and her family during her recovery. She sustained a broken arm, two broken legs, broken facial bones and some brain swelling.

Any donations are also welcome.
