Investigators and deputies with the Coweta County Sheriff’s Office investigate the scene south of Senoia where one man allegedly shot another in the leg in an argument over a lawnmower. Multiple shell casings were discovered.

A man was injured in a neighborhood shooting in southeastern Coweta County on Tuesday, and authorities are still on the lookout for the offender.

The incident occurred around 4:30 p.m. on the 100-block of Joy Springs Court, south of Senoia. One man was shot in the leg below the knee, said Lt. Col. Jimmy Yarbrough with the Coweta County Sheriff’s Office.

Tuesday’s shooting happened following an argument over a lawn mower, according to Yarbrough, and is not related to recent shootings in Newnan area neighborhoods.

The victim did not suffer any life-threatening injuries, Yarbrough said, and was transported by ground ambulance to Grady Memorial Hospital in Atlanta.

Coweta authorities are on the lookout for a suspect whose last name is Hanson. Hanson reportedly left the scene in a white Chrysler 300, and authorities believe the weapon used in the shooting is still in Hanson’s possession.
