FY 2014 budget on Tuesday agenda

by Sarah Fay Campbell

The Coweta County Board of Commissioners will meet Tuesday at 7 p.m. in the commission chambers on Perry Street.

Commission meetings usually begin at 6 p.m. Tuesday's meeting was set for 7 to give the commissioners time to get back from training in Athens.

There's a light agenda for the meeting. It's the first meeting of the county's fiscal year, which begins Oct. 1. One agenda item is the execution of resolutions to continue banking relations during FY 2014.

Other items on the agenda include: approval of the contract for the Gordon Road at Ga. Hwy. 54 and Haynie Road projects, proposed sidewalk work at 6 and 8 Madison Street, an annual service agreement with Motorola for maintenance of E-911 equipment, and a request to prepay SunTrust Capital Leases.
