Web versus digital online versions
We want to clear up any confusion about the new metered paywall we are implementing on our website, www.times-herald.com .
As always, there are still kinks being worked out, but we hope to have those resolved shortly.
There are actually two ways to view stories online — the digital version and the web version. Part of the confusion is that you must go to www.times-herald.com to access either one.
The digital version, which is accessed on the home page of www.times-herald.com, is an exact replica of the print edition. The difference is it is online. Essentially, every page of the newspaper is shown on the digital version.
To find it, look on the far right column of the website for a photo of the newspaper and the headline “NTH Digital Edition.”
The digital version is included in the price of a home delivery subscription. During the month of September, you can get an annual home delivery subscription for only $99, or $74 for seniors. This includes home delivery of the newspaper, the Newnan-Coweta Magazine, Coweta Living magazine and the digital edition. You can sign up for the digital edition online.
For those wanting the full web version of stories, there is a nominal fee. The website contains the main stories, but does not include everything in the print edition. It also has Associated Press news and sports, as well as updated weather. The web version can be read on any platform, but is especially designed for smartphones and tablets.
We are now updating our website throughout the day and have also included our Twitter feed on the home page.
For those who have a home delivery subscription, the cost is only $2.50 per month. For non-print subscribers, the introductory rate is 0.99 cents and then $6.75 a month thereafter.
There is no charge to access www.times-herald.com . You can go through the entire website as much as you like. The subscription only kicks in when you click on a particular story to read.
Everyone has free access to 10 stories every 30 days. After that, you will be asked to subscribe. Again, the digital version is included in the home delivery price, the web version has a nominal fee. You will be asked to subscribe after you read the third story, seventh story and finally the 10th story on the web version.
