Bus driver, nurse make pitch to Coweta School Board for raises

Since school bus driver Loretta Herring Stinson was hired full-time by the Coweta County School System in 1996, she has been involved in successful negotiations to have bus windows tinted and time sheets utilized.
After watching her colleagues’ interaction with the Coweta County Board of Education and Superintendent Steve Barker since October, when drivers and monitors first publicly broached the subject of raises, Stinson decided to crunch some numbers and take a different approach.
