Two Newnan pharmacies were burglarized at the same time Saturday night.
Newnan Police Department officers were dispatched to Hospital Discount Drugs, 98 Jackson St., and Lee-King Pharmacy, 18 Cavendar St., at 9:53 p.m., according to a police report.
At the Hospital Discount store, officers found the front door was broken out and that a witness who drove by said he saw a Nissan Maxima in the parking lot, an officer reported. The witness also said he saw someone in the doorway and called 911 as he was driving past the pharmacy.
The pharmacy owner said an unknown amount of drugs were taken, the officer reported. Descriptions of the two suspects were minimal, both were wearing dark clothes and one suspect was about 5 feet 10 inches tall and with a slim build.
At the Lee-King burglary, a neighbor heard the alarm go off and went outside to investigate, the officer reported. Entry was by breaking through a front window.
"He said that he observed the male knock over a display as he entered the business," the officer said. "He said the male reappeared coming out of the broken window very quickly with a large bag with something inside."

The pharmacy owner told police an unknown number of drugs were taken as well.
