The speed limit along a section of Georgia Highway 16 just west of Senoia was reduced by 10 mph on Thursday.
Georgia Department of Transportation employees installed new speed limit signs on Thursday, which cuts the speed from 55 mph to 45 mph along an area near Pylant Street, said Lieutenant Jason Ercole with the Senoia Police Department.
There were 24 accidents with 19 injuries at the Pylant intersection over the last three years, he added.
The 45 mph change starts about 1,500 feet west of Rockhouse Road, Ercole said. That stretch of Highway 16 will include the intersections with Cumberland Trail, Rockhouse, Howard Road and Pylant.
