Piedmont Newnan appoints new CFO

Piedmont Newnan Hospital has appointed of John Miles, a long-term Coweta County resident, as chief financial officer.
As Piedmont Newnan CFO, Miles will provide operational and programmatic support to the organization while overseeing the hospital’s financial department.
“We are excited to have John join our leadership team,” said Michael Bass, president and CEO of Piedmont Newnan. “He has been a vital part of the Piedmont organization for 14 years and will provide the necessary leadership to direct our financial future.”
Miles will supervise all strategic and tactical matters as they relate to budget management, cost benefit analysis, forecasting needs and the securing of additional funding for the 136-bed hospital. He has worked with Piedmont Healthcare since 1998, formerly at Piedmont Fayette Hospital and Piedmont Physicians Group.
“I am honored to serve the community in which we have made our home,” said Miles. “I look forward to supporting the hospital’s goals and initiatives while looking out for the financial well-being of Piedmont Newnan.”

Miles graduated from Auburn University with a bachelor’s degree in health systems administration and obtained his MBA from the University of Alabama. He and his wife, Lisa, have two children, Paul and Madeline. They are all active participants and volunteers in various community organizations.
