Plant Yates is one of seven Georgia power plants on the "Ripe for Retirement" list released by the Union of Concerned Scientists and the Southern Alliance for Clean Energy.

Georgia Power’s Plant Yates, located in western Coweta along the Chattahoochee River, is one of the country’s oldest and dirtiest power plants and is “ripe for retirement,” according to a report released this week by the Union of Concerned Scientists and the Southern Alliance for Clean Energy.
