U.S. Rep. Lynn Westmoreland, R-Ga., is having town hall meetings throughout Georgia’s Third Congressional District during October.
The first was Oct. 9 in Columbus, and the next is Tuesday in Fayetteville.
People across the district are invited to attend the town hall closest to their hometown. At each town hall, Congressman Westmoreland will give an update on his work in Washington and will allow for questions from the audience, said his Washington spokesperson Leslie Shedd.
“Town halls are a great way for me to let the people of Georgia’s Third Congressional District know what’s going on in Washington,” said Westmoreland. “But, more importantly, these town halls serve as a forum for people to come ask me questions or share their ideas and opinions with me. I encourage everyone to attend at least one of my town halls in October and look forward to seeing you all there.”
Remaining dates and locations include:

• Fayetteville - Tuesday, Oct. 16, Fayette County Commissioners’ Office, Public Meeting Room, 140 Stonewall Avenue West, 5 - 6 p.m.

• Barnesville - Oct. 29, Barnesville Civic Center, 685 Forsyth Street, 6 - 7 p.m.

• Carrollton - Oct. 30 at the new Carroll County Courthouse, 323 Newnan Road, 6 - 7 p.m.
