Two-year-old Sawyer Tracy, known as “See-Saw” to family and friends, was recently diagnosed with a rare but non-cancerous brain tumor.
Sawyer underwent surgery for the tumor, called a choroid plexus papilloma, this week in Atlanta.
“They’re not anticipating him losing any sight,” said friend Jenny Olmstead about his condition.
A “cut-a-thon” will be held for the Tracy family’s medical bills on Wednesday, Aug. 15 at Jimmie Dee’s salon, 15 E. Broad St. in Newnan. Sylists will be cutting hair from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. that day with all proceeds going to the family.
Companies who wish to donate raffle items for the event may call 770-304-8657.
Items already donated for the raffle include a two-night trip to Chattanooga, restaurant certificates, and a one-hour massage session.
Raffle tickets are $5 each or three for $10.
Sawyer is the son of Stephanie and Wes Tracy.
