Guest speaker for White Oak Golden K Kiwanis Club on June 28 was Carole Moore, the recently-hired director of the Newnan Centre conference facility.
Moore gave a presentation about the new Newnan Centre, now under construction on Lower Fayetteville Road, and how in the future it will be a boon to the area.
She described how the conference center would be good for business and also one that improves the overall quality of life for local citizens.
The facility being built by the City of Newnan adjacent to the Coweta County School System’s Centre for Performing and Visual Arts will be a beautiful structure that will offer services ranging to conventions for businesses and organizations to more personal uses such as wedding receptions, she told the Golden K members during their weekly meeting at Sprayberry’s on Bullsboro Drive.
The Newnan Centre is responsible to the Newnan Convention Center Authority.
Moore was previously director of Georgia Mountain Center in Gainesville, GA and began work in Newnan in March. She is married to Ken Moore, and they have two children and four granddaughters.
