Exotic animals to visit the Carnegie

Hira, a ringtail lemur from Madagascar, will be joining other exotic animals this Thursday at the Carnegie, if he behaves himself.

The Newnan Carnegie Library Foundation has announced that Sam’s Petting Zoo will be bringing exotic animals from around the world to the Carnegie at 10 a.m. on Thursday.
The event is part of a summer series of programs for children sponsored at the Carnegie by the Newnan Kiwanis Club.
The event is free to the public and tickets must be picked up in advance at the library due to limited space.
The Newnan Kiwanis Club has provided invaluable support for young patrons of the Carnegie through the library’s support arm, the Newnan Carnegie Library Foundation. The Newnan Carnegie Library is located at 1 LaGrange St. in historic downtown Newnan and is open Monday through Friday, 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. For further information, call 770-683-1347 or visit www.newnancarnegielibraryfoundation.com .
