There are 214 foreclosure-related advertisements in today's Newnan Times-Herald — the highest so far in 2012.
It's the highest number of foreclosure listings since November of 2011, when there were 242. The only other months in 2011 when there were more than 214 foreclosure advertisements were January, February and March.
The foreclosure listings include several properties now or formerly owed by Outmed LLC, including 16 acres behind Delta Community Credit Union owned by Coweta Summit Associates LLC, and property along Highway 34 East between White Oak Drive and the Summit Family YMCA owned by Zeigler-Georgia 21 LLC.
The other Outmed and former Outmed properties listed are 37 Calumet Parkway Building P, and 2959 Highway 154 Building C, 37 Calumet Parkway Buildings F and G, and 6 Madison Street.
All the properties listed in today's foreclosure advertisements are set for sale on the courthouse steps June 5. Foreclosure sales are normally the first Tuesday of the month.
According to Realtytrac.com, one in every 351 housing units in Coweta County received a foreclosure filing in March.
The sharp increase in foreclosures this month may be the result of national banks, which had stayed some foreclosures because of problems with the foreclosure process, beginning to foreclose again.
