Conference center date of completion now unknown

A new contractor for the city of Newnan’s unfinished multi-use conference center complex could be in place within the next two weeks, according to the chairman of the authority overseeing the facility.
However, exactly when construction on the Newnan Centre off Lower Fayetteville Road will resume, and when the facility will be finished, is unknown. The center was supposed to open on Aug. 8.
