Walt Sanders intersection work plans abandoned

Coweta County won’t be moving forward with improvements to one of the railroad crossings at Walt Sanders Road off U.S. Highway 29 after all — and that’s just how the residents of the road want it.
Walt Sanders has two railroad crossings. Both are in poor condition, and both include only one lane. Both have stuck numerous tractor-trailer rigs over the years, whose drivers thought they were traveling on the former Walt Sanders Memorial Drive.
