Zone winners named in annual Optimist Oratorical competition

The Zone 10 Oratorical Competition was held in late March by area Optimist Clubs, with winners coming from Newnan and Columbus.
A regional competition was scheduled in Macon before state finals.
The zone winners were Ekta Parab from the Columbus Optimist Club competition in the young ladies division, and Stephen Burns from the Newnan Optimist Club competition for the young men’s division.
Other zone competitors in the young ladies division were Jenna Conrad, female winner in the LaGrange Optimist Club contest; Makayle Graham, female winner in the Senoia Optimist Club contest; and Hannah Thomas, female winner in the Newnan Optimist Club contest.
Other zone competitors in the young men’s division were Jacob Vinson, male winner in the LaGrange Optimist Club contest; and Caymus Price, male winner in the Columbus Optimist Club contest.
Stephen Burns and Hannah Thomas had advanced from the Newnan Optimist Club Oratorical Contest held earlier in March.
