Heritage Christian School Salutatorian Speech
By Matthew HeardHeritage Christian School Salutatorian
Good evening and welcome. I would first like to acknowledge and thank my family, faculty, and friends, and, of course, my fellow classmates for making high school such a fun and memorable experience for me.
Though my class and I are on the brink of graduating, I would like to go back to the beginning of high school. Heritage may not be an extremely big school, but it does present challenges to each and every student that attends here. I remember that first day walking into the high school hall feeling so small and young around all the high school students rushing through the hall to get to their classes. All that I felt I was doing was getting in the way of everybody, but those days went by fairly quick as I progressed year after year.
The next thing, I know I am beginning my senior year. Unlike most of the seniors, I have been here for a long time, fifteen years to be exact, so this school has been my second home. When my senior year started, it was big slap in the face that I, Matthew Heard, was about to graduate.
I would like to conclude with saying that I will sincerely miss my senior class and by giving some personal advice to my fellow seniors and any others seniors sitting in the crowd tonight. Fellow seniors, you may recall one thing that Mr. Davis has said to us several times and that is that when you leave this school, do not let the world change you into someone that you are not.
Keep strong in the Christian faith and He will guide you in all your future endeavors. Once again, I would like to wish each of my classmates success and happiness in your life plans. Thank you and God Bless.
