Eagles Nest holding annual ‘Round Up’

Eagles Nest Christian Home Educators’ Association is holding its annual “Round Up” on July 12 at Unity Baptist Church in Newnan.

“Round Up” is Eagles Nest’s annual gathering where those interested can learn about the organization and sign up for its programs.

Eagles Nest is a homeschool support group dedicated to promoting a supportive, Christian-based environment to assist parents with the home education of their children.

It offers several different programs for parents and their children to utilize. Voyagers is an enrichment program for elementary and middle school-aged children. Through this program, they have an opportunity to try and learn new things their parents may not be able to do at home.

The Bridge is a program aimed at middle school students to help prepare them for the routine and rigors of high school. Eluminatus is a non-traditional Education Center accredited through the Georgia Accrediting Commission. It connects credentialed tutors with parents who desire additional help with high school courses.

Voyagers, The Bridge, and Eluminatus meets at Unity Baptist Church on Thursdays.

On Tuesdays, Eagles Nest Explorers program meets at Royal Baptist Church. Explorers is for home educated students of all grades. Through it, they can participate in unit studies which focus on a particular topic for several weeks.
