Stephanie Sibley

Stephanie Sibley teaches Pre-K at Moreland Elementary School. She has taught for a total of 11 years.

Why did you become a teacher?

To make a difference and to start a good foundation. I love the younger grades because you get to instill them with learning and get to know families.

What is your favorite part?

Seeing the growth from the beginning of the year to the end. They go from crying when they come to being very independent.

If you were not a teacher, what would you be doing?

I started a children’s ministry at church when I was at home with my kids. I would probably do something with ministry and children, but I can’t imagine doing anything else.

Do you have a family?

I’ve been married for 22 years, and my husband and I have three daughters.

What do you do for fun?

I spend time with my family and am involved with church.

What is the one thing you want your students to learn?

Respect for others. No matter our differences, we are all part of the same Pre-K family.

What are you summer plans?

Sitting by the pool, enjoying my kids, and chaperoning youth camps.
