Comm. Sergeant Major Johnson visits Welch

alt

Command Sergeant Major Anthony Johnson recently visited Welch Elementary School and talked to students about being in the military.

In March, Welch Elementary School had the privilege to have retired Command Sergeant Major Anthony Johnson to visit with the students.

He read books to a few classes and discussed his military experience and the military as a possible career choice. The students found him to be knowledgeable and well informed as they asked him numerous questions. They also enjoyed the variety of military drills, formations, and cadences Johnson taught them.

Johnson retired from the US army after serving for 27 years. For the last 10 years he has worked as a Junior ROTC instructor at Charles Henderson High School in Troy, Al.
