Lee Junior Beta Club announces winners

Late last year, the Jr. Beta Club of Lee Middle School competed against other Beta students from across the state at the Georgia state competition in Macon.

The following students placed at the Georgia state level:

•Quiz Bowl: 3rd place, Division II---Captain: Cameron Bogan, Spencer Thomas, Jack Heatherman, Conner Bogolin, and Luke Turner

•Poetry: 3rd place, Division I---Shelby Olive

•Science: 4th place, Division I---Daniel England

•Social Studies: 4th place, Division I---Emily Prosser

•Watercolor: 4th place---Skylar Hargett

•Multi-Media: 5th place---Sawyer Chaffin, Angela Brown, Marlayna Cromedy

•Woodworking: 5th place---Monet Terrell

•T-shirt: 5th place---Elaine Joo, Taylor Smith, Nate Schaab, Jae Lee

The following students not only placed at the state level but are also eligible for the national convention which will be held this summer in Richmond, Virginia:

•Acrylics and Oil: 2nd place---Madison Cosby

•Poster: 2nd place---Madison Cosby, Andrea Antrim, Kaitlyn Smith

•Digitally Enhanced Photography---3rd place, Sadie Buckalew

•Scrapbook: 1st place---Claire Terwilliger, Kristina Kula, and Caroline White

•English/Language Arts---Division I 1st place winner--- Jacob McCallister
