Grantville Job Seekers Meeting 

The first Grantville Job Seekers Meeting will be held Tuesday, December 17, 2013 at 7:00 p.m. at the Clements-Malcolm building at 329 Griffin Street, Grantville, Ga. 30220. Guest speakers for the meeting are: Nick Despande from Mondo in Hogansville and Peter Ludlow from West Georgia Technical College in Newnan. The public is invited. Anyone who is seeking employment or is interested in furthering their education or both is urged to attend this very important meeting. For more information, call Shelly T. Price named campus leader at Hampden-Sydney

Donophan Charles Price III, a senior at Hampden-Sydney College, has been recognized as an outstanding campus leader in the 2014 edition of Who's Who Among Students in American Universities and Colleges.

A Venable Scholar, Price serves as a Head Resident Advisor and as Vice President of both Rotaract and the social fraternity Chi Phi. He served on the Student Senate his freshman year and received the Omicron Delta Kappa Award at Opening Convocation in his sophomore year.

He is a Student Court Investigator and is a member of the Pre-Law Society, the Union Philanthropic Society, the Society of '91 leadership program, and the professional scientific fraternity Alpha Chi Sigma.

A government major, Price is a graduate of Northgate High School and is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Donophan C. Price II of Newnan.

Denson accepted to Ashland U.

Richard Denson of Fairburn has been accepted to Ashland University for the fall semester of 2014. Denson, who is a senior at Creekside High School, will receive the Director's Scholarship for $7,000 annually to attend the university.
