Alpha Delta Kappa Coweta Christmas Nov. 9

The 15th annual Alpha Delta Kappa Coweta Christmas will be held November 9, 2013, at the Coweta County Fairgrounds on Pine Road. The hours are from 9:30a.m.-3:30 p.m.

Special events are planned to make this a fun day for the entire family. Local children’s choral and dance groups will entertain throughout the day. Vendors will sell their items which make wonderful Christmas gifts. There will be a Secret Santa shop for the children, so that they may purchase gifts for Christmas. Another fun activity will be arts and crafts for the children. Santa Claus will also be available for photos. A silent auction will be held with winners announced later in the afternoon. Food and drinks will also be available.

This event is sponsored by Alpha Delta Kappa, an international honorary organization of women educators dedicated to educational excellence, altruism and world understanding. Proceeds from this event are used to provide one scholarship at each of the Coweta County High Schools to students who have decided to major in education upon entering college. Monies raised are also used to assist other community projects with their many needs.
