East Coweta Drill Team wins first place

East Coweta High School’s Marine Corps JROTC drill team won first place overall in the North Georgia College & State University South Eastern Invitational Drill Meet recently.

East Coweta High School’s Marine Corps JROTC Drill Team took first place overall recently at the North Georgia College & State University Southeastern Invitational Drill Meet recently.

Chris Haughton commanded the Armed Platoon A team and the Uniform Inspection, and East Coweta was the top team in both events.

Keith Biggins earned second place for the Individual Unarmed Knockout and second place for Armed Platoon B team.

Jayna Poucher earned second place in Individual Armed Knockout and first place for Color Guard B team.

Kyle Palmer earned second place for Color Guard A team, while Dakota Pickford earned two third-place trophies for commanding both the Squad and Platoon Exhibition. Great Job Drill Team.

The students are under the instruction of Bill C. Reitz, Msgt. USMC.
