Brittni Henson of Sharpsburg was one of three University of West Georgia accounting students awarded scholarships by the West Georgia Chapter of the Georgia Society of Certified Public Accountants (GSCPA).
Those receiving scholarships are Orlando Barnes of Lithia Springs, Joshua Boatright of Carrollton, and Brittni Henson of Sharpsburg. Chapter member and UWG Professor Dr. Kathy Moffeit, CPA, presented the awards at the annual Accounting Club banquet held at the university.
The scholarships are made possible by the GSCPA Educational Foundation and contributions by local CPAs in the west Georgia area.
“The West Georgia Chapter is pleased to support the education of these exceptional students,” said William Studdard, CPA, chairman of the chapter scholarship committee. “They represent the future leadership of the accounting profession.”
