Free anti-bullying seminar is May 25 at Peachtree City Combat Fitness from 10:30 a.m. to noon. Open to public and members alike, for children and teens from the ages of 4 to 18. Will teach children and young adults to be confident, aware, and protected in potentially dangerous situations. Goal is to keep each and every individual as safe as possible by teaching them the proper ways to handle bullying before and after it has happened. Reservations and information, call 770-487-1000.

American Red Cross Babysitter’s Class is Friday, June 7 from 9 a.m. until 3:30 p.m. at the Ramada Inn on Herring Road in Newnan. Will prepare individuals ages 11 through 16 to care for children in the absence of parents or adult guardians. This training will help participants develop skills in leadership and professionalism, basic care, safety and First Aid. Learn how to prepare for and respond to emergencies. Kidney Smart - Piedmont Newnan Hospital and a local dialysis group are working to raise education on kidney disease. Kidney Smart classes will be held at Piedmont Newnan Hospital, Poplar Road, on June 12 and another on July 10, both at 4:30 p.m. The one-hour class is free and materials are sent home with the recipient, said Cassie Carson, a licensed practical nurse with Davita Dialysis of Newnan. All interested patients must go to www.kidneysmart.org under “classes near you” to register for any upcoming classes.  Other classes are offered across Georgia for individuals that live farther.
