Senior centers offering activities

— Tommy Thompson Senior Center, 29 Hospital Road in Newnan, has activities weekdays, Monday through Friday. The center offers lunch for a small fee.

Morning and afternoon activities include such things as daily Koffee-Klatch, exercise, Wii games, crafts/classes, card games, pool games, line dancing and excursions. Remaining this week are Wednesday, May 22, bingo with Benton House; Thursday, May 23, Manicure Day and table games; Friday, May 24, Craft Day. On the schedule next week are: Monday, May 27, closed for Memorial Day; Tuesday, May 28, Bible study with Stephanie and Bible trivia; Wednesday, May 29, AAA Picnic; Thursday, May 30, Exercises and Balloon Volleyball; Friday, May 31, May Birthday Party.

­­— Coweta County’s other senior centers are at Welcome, Senoia and Panther Creek (on Ga. Highway 16, Sargent). They offer a variety of activities and from time to time organize covered-dish luncheons and birthday recognitions.

The Welcome community seniors (on Welcome Road near Western School) meet every Tuesday.

Activities include card playing and crafts, and refreshments are provided.

Senoia area seniors meet at the center on Howard Road every Wednesday with such activities as bridge, cribbage and bingo. Refreshments are provided.

The Panther Creek center meets each Wednesday. Activities include such games as Bingo, and refreshments are served.
