There will be an array of shiny rides on view Saturday at the fifth annual Ultimate Car Show presented by Peach State Corvette Association and the Newnan SouthTowne auto dealership.

The club helps a variety of groups in Fayette and Coweta counties with proceeds from its events. Proceeds from the 2012 show went to help CORRAL - Coweta Organization for Riding, Rehabilitation and Learning and Promise Place in Fayette County - and others.

CORRAL is a Roscoe-based group that provides horseback riding therapy for mentally challenged youngsters.

Promise Place exists to prevent domestic violence through awareness programs, educational training and by providing safe environments for the victims and their families, utilizing legal advocacy, emergency shelters and transitional housing. Promise Place serves victims of domestic violence and their children in the Griffin, Ga., Judicial Circuit, which includes Fayette, Spalding, Pike and Upson counties. For more on the group go to www.promiseplace.org — it also has a 24-hour crisis hotline, 770-460-1604.
