Airman Madaris graduates from basic training


Air Force Airman Christopher L. Madaris graduated from basic military training at Joint Base San Antonio-Lackland, San Antonio, Texas.

The airman completed an intensive, eight-week program that included training in military discipline and studies, Air Force core values, physical fitness, and basic warfare principles and skills.

Airmen who complete basic training earn four credits toward an associate in applied science degree through the Community College of the Air Force.

Madaris is the son of Charis and Samuel Madaris of Newnan.

He is a 2013 graduate of East Coweta High School, Sharpsburg.

Air Force Airman Tyler G. Smith graduated from basic military training at Joint Base San Antonio-Lackland, San Antonio, Texas.

The airman completed an intensive, eight-week program that included training in military discipline and studies, Air Force core values, physical fitness, and basic warfare principles and skills.

Smith is the son of April and Roy Smith of Gay.

He is a 2012 graduate of Newnan High School.
