• “Gentle Tai Chi and Qigong” continues at Newnan Carnegie Library at 2:30 p.m., Feb. 27. Free class for adults and seniors, all levels of physical ability. No floor exercise. • Meals on Wheels of Coweta is hosting Blue Plate Special, a benefit concert on Saturday, March 1 at 8 p.m. at The Alamo. Featuring Eric Culberson Band and the Barry Richman Band, and Newnan’s own Leonard Washington, Tony Sims, Emily Stilwell and the Kris Youmans Band. Door prizes will be given. $10 at the door.

• “Healthy Heart Fair” is rescheduled for Saturday, March 1, from 9 a.m. - noon. at the Piedmont Francis Way location in Sharpsburg. Free health screenings, including blood pressure, body mass index (BMI), cholesterol and glucose. Consult with clinicians and hospital staff about disease prevention, fitness maintenance and tips to improve health and well-being. • Yard sale donations — The 2014 Coweta County Relay for Life team is taking donations for yard sale. The event raises funds for the American Cancer Society. • Blood Drives — Piedmont Newnan Hospital and the American Red Cross will host blood drives at Piedmont Newnan Hospital on March 7, May 2 and July 11. 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. in Conference Room 2.
