Seventh annual 'Char-ity Event' Dec. 5

Community leaders, local artists and some hard-working volunteers are coming together on Dec. 5 to hold the 7th Annual Chair-ity Event, a fundraiser for abused children living in the cottages at The Children's Village at Christian City.

This popular event will be held in the ballroom at The Dolce Atlanta, on Aberdeen Parkway in Peachtree City. Tickets are $25 in advance, and automatically enter attendees in a drawing to win a golf cart. Dress is business casual.

New this year, The Rick Massengale Jazz Trio will provide musical entertainment, and a Winter Wonderland theme will help make the night magical.

Drop in from 5:30-7:30 p.m. and enjoy heavy hors d'oeuvres, refreshments served butler style, and shop for that special someone on your holiday list. An impressive silent auction will include getaway trips, collectible items, signed guitars, sports memorabilia, themed baskets and many other items donated by the business community.

Artists and the kids living in the cottages at The Children's Village are handcrafting unique, one-of-a-kind painted chairs that will be the highlight of the auction. Tickets are limited and are expected to sell out. Access christiancity. org for tickets.
