Willie Jordan: Sign spinner

by Clay Neely

Willie Jordan demonstrates his spinning prowess.

The emergence of the “sign spinner” in front of a businesses is a common sight these days. However, Willie Jordan has been spinning signs with flair and showmanship for well over a year.

You can find him on most days in the afternoons, now spinning his sign for Little Caesars on Bullsboro.

It’s very clear that he enjoys his work and takes the spinning to new heights, sometimes literally. Even in the middle of a Georgia summer, he continues the acrobatic sign maneuvers and when asked about working in the heat, he simply smiles and says “I just drink my water and I deal with it.”

Jordan says some of the perks of the job are seeing people smile while others stop to chat with him. “I’ve had a few ladies flirt with me too, so that’s pretty nice” he says laughing.
