Guests enjoy the Wine Pairing in 2012 in Senoia, which combines fine wines with distinct individual dishes.

It's time for the Senoia Area Historical Society's annual Wine and Food Pairing.

The tasty event is scheduled for Saturday, Sept. 7 at 7 p.m. at the Historical Society home located on 6 Couch St. in Senoia.

Pairing the right wine with the right food has a long and distinguished history. The society is proud to build on this tradition with its own wine and food pairing event.

The society will present six extraordinary wines paired with six distinctive individual plates, each plate revealing the best aspect of the wine it has been paired with. Wine expert Ed Izzo will introduce each wine and answer any wine pairing questions.

This is a fundraising event. Tickets are $50 per person with a total of 60 participants. To reserve your place, contact cdivido@aol.com or call 770-727-9189.

All proceeds from the Wine and Food Pairing event will benefit the society and its "Raise The Roof" campaign.

“Raise the Roof” raises funds to replace the roof on the society’s local history museum along with much-needed chimney repair. Any donations made above ticket price will receive a receipt for a tax-deductible donation.
