Senior Olympics held at Tommy Thompson Center

Families were invited to participate in the events with their loved ones.

Today concludes the Senior Olympics at the Tommy Thompson Senior Center. The three-day event provides seniors a chance to have fun and compete with one another.

Due to weather concerns, Monday proved the best day for outdoor activities, such as a water balloon toss and frisbee golf. Just like with Tuesday, today offers numerous indoor events like bingo, billiards and cards.

Each event is scored and medaled for first, second and third. At the conconclusion of today’s events, closing ceremonies will be held.

Around 30 seniors participated in the events, some doing almost every event while others opted for a lighter schedule.

This marked the second year the Tommy Thompson Senior Center has held the Senior Olympics.
