Mavis Kozachyn gets dance surprise

Mavis Kozachyn is an independent resident at Emeritus at Newnan. She has been wanting to go dancing for a while, said Lisa Klein, life enrichment director at Emeritus.

"Her health has been bad and she has been in and out of the hospital with congestive heart failure. She has not been feeling well, so I thought I would bring the dance to her," Klein said.

Klein recently got Andy Brown with Absolute Medical and a classical guitarist to come in for a special activity time. Kozachyn was very surprised that she had the first and last dance of the day. She got all dressed up for the first time in a long time, Klein said.

“After everything was over she pulled me to the side and said he is really good looking and a good dancer, too. I agreed and we had a laugh together,” Klein said after the recent dance event. “She has been talking about that dance all week.”
