Coweta County Recreation Department announces trip

The Coweta County Recreation Department is planning a senior citizens' trip for four days and three nights to Paducah, Ky. and Metropolis, Ill. Sept. 23-26.

The trip package includes the following attractions: Harra's Metropolis Casino, Americana Hollywood Museum, Market House Theatre, Quilt Museum, and a horse drawn carriage ride.

Senior centers announce events

The Tommy Thompson Senior Center in Newnan, located on Hospital Road, has daily activities. This week's programs are:

* July 8, Summer Hill Home Mission, sing-along.

* July 9, Summer yard and craft sale

* July 10, Gospel music program

* July 11, Red Hat Society meeting, 10 a.m., Bingo

The East Coweta Senior Center, located at 300 Howard Rd. in Senoia, has meetings on Wednesdays. Programs for the month of July are:

* July 9,1-3 p.m. Arts & Crafts/Card Making/Cribbage/Bridge

* July 16,1-3 p.m. Bingo/Cribbage/Bridge

* July 23, 1-3 p.m. Beading/Cribbage/Bridge

* July 30,1-3 p.m. Beading Craft/Cribbage/Bridge/Blood Pressure Check w/CCFD
