Encore of driver safety program

The AARP Driver Safety Program is back by popular demand at the Coweta Public Library's Central Library. The refresher course for driver's age 50 and over has helped millions of drivers remain safe on the roadway.

The course will be taught in two four-hour sessions on Sept. 11-12. Participants can expect to learn current rules of the road such as how to maintain proper following distance and how to make adjustments due to normal age-related changes in hearing, vision and physical dexterity.

Upon completing the course, graduates will have gained valuable information and strategies for safe driving. Graduates may also be eligible for a multiyear auto insurance discount. Please consult your insurance agent for specific details.

Pre-registration is required and space is limited. Those interested should contact the Central Library in Sharpsburg at 770-683-2052.
