New stable managers join Blalock Lakes

The Stables at Blalock Lakes sporting community in southwest Coweta County has hired the husband and wife team of Jos and Laura Sevriens to manage the stables and provide instruction and training for both riders and horses.

With their expertise and a passion for the sport, the new equestrian team members will build on the programs already established, as well as create new ones for riders of all skill levels.

With more than 45 years of experience, Jos Sevriens brings his award-winning training style for all riding disciplines. Originally from Holland, Sevriens is a certified instructor in Holland, France and the U.S. and has won numerous national competitions in both Holland and the U.S. for certified instructors. He has also won the national 3-day event competition, "The Broke Trophy." Sevriens is also a certified USDF and USEF breed judge.

Working alongside Jos Sevriens is his wife, Laura Sevriens, also a trainer and instructor with more than 35 years experience. In addition to her varied experience in both riding instruction and training, Sevriens is also an expert rider and competitor.

Along with The Stables, Blalock Lakes will have 399 homesites and is home to the Blalock Lakes Sporting Club. Developer is Cousins Properties Incorporated, of Atlanta.
