Mortgage rates tip 6%

Thirty-year mortgage rates as of Friday were just more than 6 percent with three local Coweta lenders who shared their rates:

-- Home Loan Professionals listed the 30-year fixed rate at 6.25%; 15-year fixed, 5.875%; adjustable, 5.5% with .75 points and 1% origination fee; and 6.25% FHA/VA loans.

-- Neighborhood Community Bank listed 30-year fixed at 6.25%; 15-year fixed at 5.75%; a 5/1 adjustable at 5.75%; FHA/VA at 6%; and a 5/1 interest only loan at 5.75%.

-- McIntosh Commercial Bank listed 30-year fixed at 6.375%; 15-year fixed at 5.875%; 5/1 adjustable at 6%; and FHA/VA at 6.25%.
