Lindsey’s announces Million Dollar Club members

Lindsey’s Inc. Realtors of Newnan had a list of members on its staff in the 2012 Newnan-Coweta Board of Realtors Million Dollar Club.

Included in the group are Chip Barron, Bud Freeburg, Frank Barron, Tom Barron, Elena Dickerson, Jess Barron, Jodie Shepard, Cam Carden, Riese Carden, Tom Leiby, Carol Holden, Sheila Jenkins and Angie Hogsed.

Haddick named GM at SummerGrove Golf

Affiniti Golf Partners has promoted Mike Haddick to general manager at Summer Grove Golf Club. 

Haddick has spent the last five years at the club, most recently serving as head golf professional. Prior to Summer Grove, Haddick worked in golf operations at Port Royal Golf Club, a 54-hole resort facility on Hilton Head Island, S.C. 

A Pittsburgh native, Haddick is a graduate of West Virginia University and a Class-A member of the PGA of America. Locally, he is a member of the Newnan-Coweta Chamber of Commerce.

Summer Grove, designed by Joe Jemsek and Jeff Burton, recently became a public course again after several years as a private Canongate club.

Josey member of Million Dollar Club 

Taylor Josey, of Josey Young and Brady Realty LLC of Newnan, was recently honored with membership in the 2012 Atlanta Commercial Board of Realtor’s MIllion Dollar Club. 

Josey, a Phoenix Member of the ACBR Million Dollar Club, with 10 or more years of MDC membership, qualified for 2012 with $9 million in commercial real estate sales and lending transactions during 2012. Membership in the ACBR Million Dollar Club requires at least $3 million in transaction volume for the year.

Josey is a 26-year veteran of real estate and concentrates his efforts in the South Metro region. 

Josey, Young and Brady Realty works in residential home sales, commercial leasing and sales and land sales in Newnan, Coweta County and the Southern Crescent.

Hooters donates to childhood cancer foundation

Hooters restaurants recently donated $50,000 to The V Foundation’s pediatric cancer research efforts. 

The donation was presented to legendary sports analyst Dick Vitale at the downtown Atlanta Hooters. 

The V Foundation for Cancer Research was formed in 1993 by basketball coach Jimmy Valvano and ESPN after Valvano was diagnosed with cancer.

Halter named CEO of Delta Community Credit Union

Hank Halter, who has served as interim president and CEO of Delta Community Credit Union since Jan. 1, was recently named permanent president and CEO of Delta Community, Georgia’s largest credit union. He replaces Rick Foley, who retired at the end of 2012. 

Halter is a certified public accountant, and worked at Delta Air Lines from 1998 to 2012. He served in a number of finance positions with the airline before being promoted to Chief Financial Officer in 2008.

Best Bank ribbon-cutting held

A Newnan-Coweta Chamber of Commerce ribbon-cutting was recently held for Best Bank on Newnan Crossing Boulevard.
