A Better Way Antiques and Home Decor opening
A Better Way Antiques and Home Decor will open its doors May 1 for a pre grand opening.
The store is located at 2826 Hwy. 154 Sharpsburg, in Thomas Crossroads, and benefits A Better Way Ministries.

The Hair Force closes
The Hair Force Salon closed Friday after 32 years in business. Owner Denise Franks said the salon was in the same location on Jefferson Street at Sprayberry Road for 26 years, before moving to Clark Street three years ago. “This is a bittersweet situation,” said Franks.
She is now working at Both of You hair salon on Greenville Street.

Edible Arrangements celebrates 15 years
Edible Arrangements, which provides creative fresh cut fruit arrangements, is celebrating its 15th year. The company was founded by Tariq Farid in 1999 with one store in East Haven, Conn.
The company now has roughly 1,200 locations in 49 states and 13 countries, including a location in Newnan.

Kroger raising money for Relay for Life
Local Kroger stores are partnering with the American Cancer Society to raise awareness and funds to help fight cancer.
During the two-week campaign, which ends April 26, Kroger will urge its customers to donate to the American Cancer Society by purchasing $1 Relay for Life “footprint” icons at Kroger checkouts. The Atlanta Division, which includes 184 stores in three states, hopes to raise $200,000 through the campaign.

Kia of LaGrange receives President’s Club award
Kia of LaGrange has received the prestigious Kia President’s Club award for the second year in a row.
Kia of LaGrange was one of only 30 nationwide recipients of the executive award, out of more than 755 U.S. dealers.
The President’s Club recognizes the “best-of-the-best” – dealers who achieve the highest overall sales volume and outstanding customer satisfaction.
