Peter Stasio, owner, Stasio Family Pizza in Grantville.

What made Grantville a good fit for your business?

There were no Italian restaurants here in Grantville or even anywhere near the area so I figured, why not open one up? People need a place to eat good pizza. I knew Grantville needed a place to eat so I scraped up as much money as I could. I spoke to Jim (Sells) and he said that Grantville needed a restaurant like this and that the idea would definitely work. So here we are and I couldn’t be happier.

What’s the best part of owning your own business?

Having the freedom to come and go is great and I really enjoy the opportunity to have and operate an authentic New York Style pizza restaurant down here. It’s a blessing to be able to serve good, authentic food to the people in my town.

Has family played a role in your restaurant?

Absolutely. This is a family company that I operate with my wife. It’s one of the reasons we created a wall that honors our family that is all over the globe. Our wall has photos of our entire family from all generations. We’re proud to be here and hope we can grow with Grantville.
